This guide will show you how to remove and replace the track pad of your Asus Vivobook Max X541SA-PD0703X. There are no additional parts that you need to replace in order to access the track pad.

Remove the following ten Phillips #0 screws from the bottom of the laptop:

Six 13mm screws.

Four 11mm screws.

Using a plastic opening tool, pry up the palm rest form the bottom half of the laptop.

Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the keyboard ribbon cable ZIF sockets.

Pull the ribbon cables out of their sockets.

Take the keyboard half of the laptop and place it in front of you so that they keys are facing down.

Use a spudger to flip up the retaining flap on the touch pad ribbon cable ZIF socket.

Pull the ribbon out of the socket.
