  • Repeat the previous two steps for the left adhesive strip with the pull tab at the upper-left edge of the battery.

  • If your adhesive strips broke underneath the battery and you were unable to retrieve them, you can try these two alternate removal methods:

  • Prepare an iOpener or use a hair dryer to heat the rear case directly behind the battery. Once the case is just barely too hot to touch, use an opening pick or a spudger to carefully pry the battery out of the phone. Do not apply the iOpener or any other form of heat directly to the battery.

  • Apply some high-concentration isopropyl alcohol or adhesive remover along one edge of the battery and then tilt the phone so the liquid will run underneath the battery and weaken the adhesive. Wait a few minutes, then use an opening pick or a spudger to carefully pry the battery out of the phone.

  • If you do have to pry, try your best not to deform the battery. Soft-shell lithium-ion batteries can leak dangerous chemicals, catch fire, or even explode if damaged. Do not use excessive force or pry at the battery with metal tools.

Falls der Klebestreifen unter dem Akku gerissen ist, und du ihn nicht mehr herausholen kannst, kannst du die folgenden zwei Methoden ausprobieren:

Bereite einen iOpener vor oder benutze einen Fön, um das Rückgehäuse direkt hinter dem Akku zu erwärmen. Sobald das Gehäuse etwas zu heiß zum Anfassen ist, kannst du ein Plektrum oder einen Spudger benutzen, um den Akku vorsichtig aus dem Handy zu hebeln. Verwende weder den iOpener noch eine andere Hitzequelle direkt auf dem Akku.

Träufle etwas hochkonzentrierten Isopropylalkohol oder Klebstoffentferner auf eine Kante des Akkus und kippe dann das Handy so, dass die Flüssigkeit unter den Akku fließen kann, um den Kleber aufzuweichen. Warte ein paar Minuten und heble dann den Akku vorsichtig mit einem Plektrum oder einem Spudger aus dem Handy.

Vermeide es, beim Hebeln den Akku zu verformen. Aus Lithium-Ion-Akkus mit weicher Hülle können gefährliche Chemikalien austreten, sie können sich entzünden oder sogar explodieren. Heble nicht zu kräftig und benutze keine Metallwerkzeuge.
