Replacing your Volvo's engine air filter is one of the easiest things you can do to keep your engine healthy and breathing right. Check your engine air filter at every oil change and replace it when it is dirty, usually around every 12,000 miles.

Open the lid of the filter housing by releasing the metal clips along the edge of the lid.

Once the clips are released, pull the lid away from the air filter housing.

Grab the air filter and remove it from the filter housing.
