The engine air filter is a part that allows the engine to receive proper airflow. As time goes on, they will become old and dirty due to the amount of dirt and dust particles that go through the filter. An old air filter will result in less airflow which can lead to the engine stalling in the long run. If you notice the engine light on, reduced fuel efficiency, or strange engine sounds, you should consider changing the vehicle's air filter.
Before starting, make sure the vehicle is completely off since it does not need to be on to replace the air filter.
