Einleitung
If your 2010-2014 BMW X6 (E71) tail light is flickering, dime or not lighting up at all on either the right, left, or top of the vehicle, use this guide to replace the rear tail light.
The Tail light bulb is responsible for shining a red light to signal to sounding vehicles that you are slowing down or stopping.
Before using this guide, inspect the car battery and fuse by a local mechanic or use a multimeter to the positive and negative of the car battery to check if the car has full voltage before proceeding to replace the rear brake bulk/light.
Before beginning, make sure to let the car completely cool off.

Open the trunk using your key in the trunk key slot or by using the button under the CD player.

Remove the small plastic cover along the vertical edge of the trunk entrance by pulling outwards using the handle.

Grab the light bulb socket and turn it counterclockwise until it can be removed from its hole.

Repeat this process for the other light bulb socket.

Remove the light bulbs from their sockets by gently pulling them away from the connectors.

Place the new bulb in the original hole.

Turn clockwise to secure the bulb in place.

Place Plastic cover along the bottom of the trunk next to the corresponding hole.

Push cover in till it is flush with a vertical wall of the trunk.
