You will need basic hand tools and a spring clip remover. Adding an aftermarket pipe is easy. You can do it.

Schritt 1 Rack, seat, and fender.

Take off the rear rack and the seat. Remove top cover, left side panel, floor board, and rear fender.

Schritt 2 Remove stock pipe.

Unhook retaining spring, unbolt hanger, and the pipe should slide off with minimal effort. (the springs are strong)

Schritt 3 New pipe.

Slip new pipe on, reinstall retainer springs. Bolt hanger to frame. (no modifications necessary)

Schritt 4 Wraap it up.

Put your plastics back on in reverse order of removal.
