It's not a common problem, but should your speakers start to malfunction or stop working they'll need to be replaced. This guide will walk you through removing the speakers from the device.

Wedge your plastic opening tool into the crevice between the volume button and casing to create space.

Slide the plastic opening tool along this crevice to pry apart the backing of the tablet.

There is one zero insertion force connector that needs to be removed.

Use your plastic opening tool to flip up the black clip that secures the ribbon cable to the motherboard.

Once the clip is flipped up, the ribbon cable will be safe to remove.

To remove the four bundled cable connectors, push against the edges of the connector to loosen it up.

Pull the cable away from the connector.

Use a pair of tweezers to gently pull up the speaker closest to the motherboard.
