Before beginning, make sure to close your laptop, power it off completely, and disconnect it from any external power source.

To open the bottom compartment, put one finger underneath the laptop and firmly grab the compartment with your thumb.

Carefully slide the bottom compartment with your thumb until you feel it pop out of place.

Remove the twenty 6 mm screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Unplug the battery and disconnect all the components connected to the motherboard.

Pry open the bottom of the laptop using the pry tool.

Disconnect the larger ribbon cable that connects from the motherboard to the keyboard by gently pulling on the end that attaches to the keyboard.

Remove the tape that is holding the smaller ribbon to the touchpad. Gently disconnect the smaller ribbon by pulling on it.

Remove all of the M2 x 3 Phillips screws that are holding the keyboard in place.
