Einleitung

The speakers of a Chromebook can be removed fairly easily. The speakers themselves are not hidden, but several wires must be moved out of the way and the speakers' connection to the motherboard must be detached too.

The steps are straightforward, but wires should always be handled with caution, as they can be fragile.

  1. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove all eleven 7.0 mm screws from the bottom of the Chromebook.

    • Wedge a finger into the groove and separate the panel from the device. If necessary, use a spudger.

    • The panel will still be connected to the device by internal wiring, so pull it off with some caution. It is best to flip the panel to the side once the seam has been broken.

  3. Remove the two 4.5 mm Phillips screws located at the sides of the battery.

    • Be sure to pull the plug by holding it at the base, not yanking on the wires, as this could damage the device.

  9. Pop the speakers off of the device by hand.

    • They are held on only by a mild adhesive and should come off easily.
