Einleitung

This guide will walk you through the step by step process of removing the LED screen from the laptop. Screen removal is a multistep process that will require you to keep track of the parts taken out of the laptop. Each screw is accounted for in the steps they are removed.

Ersatzteile

  1. Power the laptop off and make sure the charger is unplugged before starting. Unscrew the eight Phillips #0 8.0mm screws on the laptop.

  2. Using the plastic opening tool, lift the back panel from the rest of the laptop.

    • Unhinge all four sides and corners

    • Slowly separate the keyboard panel from the back panel.

    • You won't be able to completely remove the two panels. They are connected by a ribbon cable. Carefully disconnect the cable from the green motherboard.

    • Disconnect the wide ribbon cable by sliding it out of the motherboard input. Pull the cable toward the battery to dislodge.

  4. The narrow ribbon cable connect the track pad to the motherboard.

    • Just like the previous step, disconnect the narrow ribbon cable by sliding it out of the motherboard input. Pull the cable toward the battery to dislodge.

  5. Remove the keyboard from the laptop.

  7. Remove the six 5.6mm Phillips #0 screws around the battery. Remove the six 5.6mm Phillips #0 screws around the battery.

  8. Using your thumb and index finger, pinch the multi-color cable and disconnect it from the motherboard. Using your thumb and index finger, pinch the multi-color cable and disconnect it from the motherboard.

  9. Lift the battery out of the laptop.

  10. Unplug the black and white cable from the motherboard. These two wires connect to the webcam at the top of your monitor.  The white cable is longer and connects to the bottom  import.

  11. Peel back the tape covering the plug.

    • Slide the cable towards the screen and out of the input.

  12. Unscrew the 6 screws (5 millimeter) on the top right and left.

  13. Gently lift the screen up and away from the laptop.

  14. Pry off the face panel on the screen using the blue prying tool.

  15. Remove the four 2mm Phillips #0 screws from the four corners of the screen.

  16. Gently lift screen Peel back the adhesive covering the cable.

    • Remove the cable to free the screen.
