1. Make sure the device  is turned off and unplugged from  the charger.
    • Make sure the device is turned off and unplugged from the charger.

    • Using a T5 screwdriver, remove all 10 screws.

    • Pull off the back cover of the laptop.

    • A pry tool may be needed to pull off the back cover.

  2. Lift up the black tab next to the silver bridge. (seen on the right in the picture)

    • Pull lightly on the blue tabs until the silver bridge is free.

    • Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the 5 marked screws.

    • Locate the battery connector.

    • Wedge a pry tool under the battery connector.

    • Gently pull on the connector until the connector disconnects from the base of the object.

    • Pull out the battery.

    • Locate the Hard disk

    • Unscrew the 4 screws marked using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

    • Place the hard disk separately

    • Remove and replace the hard disk from the metal casing

I’m not sure if they changed the design but I did not have to remove anything other than the case cover to replace the hard drive. Also, there weren’t any fasteners holding the hard drive at all. It was just laying in there and the foam on the cover held it in place. Since I was replacing it with a slightly thinner drive (SSD) I put an extra piece of foam in there so that it would be held securely. The job was only 10 minutes.
