In the case that your Laptop’s Touchpad stops working, you may need to replace it. This guide shows you how to replace the Touchpad in just a few simple steps.

In order to remove the back lid, you must lay the laptop down with the lid closed and remove the screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

There are five 80mm screws.

There are four 50mm screws.

Pull the back lid off of the laptop using your fingers.

Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the six screws attached to the silver panel.

Disconnect the LED ribbon wires using a spudger to lift the clamp.

Using the Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the four screws on the silver panel.

Using a spudger, gently lift the silver ground strips off of the touch pad.

Pull the touch pad up and towards the battery to remove it from the laptop.
