    • Each backpack strap has a bottom buckle that separates into two pieces. This allows the straps to be detached and stashed away when not in use.

    • This tutorial will guide you through connecting and disconnecting these buckles properly.

    • Pull the backpack straps out of the top stash pocket on the back of the tote.

    • Find the bottom stash pocket along the bottom edge of the back of the tote.

    • Pull out the straps. You’ll find two on each side:

    • One set has standard buckles. This is the waist strap. You can connect these or put them aside for now.

    • The other set has clips that look like duck bills (Speedy Clips). This set is used for attaching the backpack straps.

    • The webbing (strap) that feeds through the the duck bill clip can come out or get misaligned. If it isn't threaded correctly, the buckle will not attach properly.

    • Ensure that the webbing is threaded through the duck bill clip as shown in the reference images.

    • Hold the duck bill clip behind the open square piece at the base of the backpack strap

    • Slide the duck bill clip through the top half of the square piece and pull the entire duck bill clip through the square piece.

    • Ensure all webbing from the duck bill clip stays behind the square piece.

    • Push the duck bill clip down onto the square piece, then press firmly until you hear or feel a click.

    • Test the connection by pulling gently on both sides. The webbing shouldn't slip.

    • The next step shows a side view for a different look at this procedure.

    • From the side, you’ll see the duck bill sliding into a channel at the top of the square piece.

    • Ensure all webbing from the duck bill clip stays behind the square piece.

    • Push the duck bill clip down firmly to lock it into place.

    • Test the connection by pulling gently on both sides. The webbing shouldn't slip.
