Canon Powershot SX500 IS Battery Replacement

The user will need a replacement battery or fully charged battery to insert into the camera. No tools required.

    • Rotate the camera to expose the underside of the camera.

    • Slide the rounded rectangle tab to the left to release the battery cover.

    • Push the small orange tab forward to release the battery (Battery is ready for removal).

Hi guys, I have a Canon SX500 IS and I jumped inside the swimming pool with its original battery by mistake so it was wet and decided to buy another battery after 4 years and put back on but it's still not switching on

I need some advice guys please what should I do?
