    • Flip the device over to the back side.

    • Slide the small switch on the back to "MAIN".

    • Slide the battery cover downwards.

    • Pull off the battery cover.

    • Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the two screws near the top of the device.

    • Using the Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the two screws located inside the battery compartment.

    • Partially separate the two halves of the case by inserting the tip of a small flat head screw driver into the space between the halves.

    • Pry the two halves of the case apart with the small flat head screwdriver.

    • Caution: be careful not to pull out the wires connecting the two halves of the outer case. These wires are necessary for the device to be able to function.

    • Lay the two halves of the outer case next to the central components as shown.

    • Using the #00 Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws from the corners of the screen. There are 3 screws total.

    • Lift the tab on the motherboard and pull out the ribbon cable.

    • After the ribbon cable is detached from the motherboard, the touch screen is completely separated from the device.
