If the steam release valve is broken or damaged in any way it will not seal and can cause a safety hazard when trying to open a pressurized pot.
If replacement of the Steam Release Valve does not solve problem try replacing Steam Release Valve Cover.

Hi
I need to buy a replacement steam release valve for a Crock-Pot CPE200. I've contacted Sunbeam and they say you can't.
Any ideas?

I need a Steam Release Valve also would like some ideas since CrockPot does not let you order parts online anymore.Thinking about not using CP stuff no longer if replacement parts are going to be this hard to find! Linda Richardson lamommom50@yahoo.com.
If the steam release valve is broken and does not close all the way, will the pressure not build? Therefore not cooking correctly.
How do I get a replacement Steam Release Valve - mine no longer is attached to the Crock Pot, I think may have been dropped and now steam leaks from it right throughout the whole pressure cook operation. Can I purchase a new one through this site? andy.garlepp@live.com
