If the top handle does not pop up when trying to remove canister, press the gray button as you gently pull up on the top handle.

Locate the spring in the small opening between the handle and ball of the vacuum body.

Pull out the spring by carefully inserting tweezers into the opening.

Carefully remove the spring.
