Use this guide if you would like to replace the CMOS battery of your HP Envy 17-3070NR. The CMOS battery ensures that you BIOS setting are saved when your PC is on. It also runs the clock, making sure you have correct time when you power you computer back on. These batteries tend to last 10 year but should it fail earlier, use this guide to replace it.

Slide the release latch away from the nearest edge.

Remove the six 3.7mm Phillips screws.

Slide the back cover until it clicks, then lift it straight off.
