A brief guide on how to remove the hard drive from an HP G62-340.

Turn off the computer and disconnect the charging cable from the computer.

Turn your laptop over and locate the hard drive module compartment.

Use a screwdriver to loosen the two Phillips PM2.5x6.0 captive screws on the hard drive cover.

Lift the left side of the hard drive cover and remove the cover.

Use a screwdriver to remove the three Phillips PM3.0x4.0 screws on the hard drive.

Disconnect the hard drive cable from the system board and gently remove the hard drive.

Remove the 4 screws from the hard drive bracket and separate it from the hard drive.
