Einleitung

This guide provides instruction on how to replace a broken or damaged touch pad on the HP Pavilion G7-2289wm laptop.

  1. Unlock the battery by sliding the battery release latch.

  5. Lift the front edge of the hard drive, then pull the hard drive out gently.

  6. Remove the screw that secures the keyboard to the computer.

  7. Using the prying tool, pry about the perimeter of the keyboard. Now lift the keyboard from its top backward towards the touch pad. Notice the connector cable, unlatch it and remove the keyboard.

  8. Remove the wires attached to the button pad. Remove the wires attached to the button pad.
    • Remove the wires attached to the button pad.

  9. Carefully lift and remove the button board.
    • Carefully lift and remove the button board.

    • Remove all screws from the bottom of the laptop.
