Power off device and place with battery facing up.
Ensure that your hands are not wet, even if the laptop is off or dead.

Push slider on left-hand side of device into unlocked position. This slider is not spring loaded so it should stay in position afterwards.

Push in right-hand slider with your thumb and simultaneously apply slight pressure away from your body.
It may be helpful to keep your left thumb on the left slider and push with both thumbs.
