HP Slate 8 Pro IO Board Replacement

Einleitung

This guide is designed to help you out with changing the IO board. The IO board is used for charging the device, connecting the headphones, and being able to connect to the HDMI cable. If none of these are working you should consider replacing the board itself.

  1. HP Slate 8 Pro IO Board Replacement, Remove back cover: Schritt 1, Bild 1 von 1

    • Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down

    • Remove the back cover.

  2. HP Slate 8 Pro IO Board Replacement, Disconnect battery cable: Schritt 2, Bild 1 von 1

    • Disconnect the battery cable from the system board

  4. HP Slate 8 Pro IO Board Replacement, Remove ribbon cables: Schritt 3, Bild 1 von 1

    • Pull the yellow ribbons

  5. HP Slate 8 Pro IO Board Replacement, Disconnect speaker cables: Schritt 4, Bild 1 von 1

    • Disconnect the speaker cables from the I/O board

  6. HP Slate 8 Pro IO Board Replacement, Remove screws: Schritt 5, Bild 1 von 1

    • Remove the two Phillips PM1.5×4.0 screws that secure the I/O board to the display panel assembly.

  7. HP Slate 8 Pro IO Board Replacement, Remove the IO board: Schritt 6, Bild 1 von 1

    • Remove the IO board carefully.
