Pinch the tip of the earbud in one hand while gripping the base of the earbud in the other.
Gently pull the tip of the earbud apart from the base.
These pieces should come apart without the need for tools. Do not be afraid to use a little force.

Gently pull the battery out from the earbud housing to reveal the wire that connects the two.
Do not pull the speaker forcefully. This may pull the wire out in a manner that damages the device.
