Fans on electronic devices collect a lot dust over the years, so this guide will show how to clean the fan on this Toshiba projector in order to prevent overheating. To ensure maximum performance out of a fan, some oil can be added to keep the bearings lubricated and running in tip-top shape.

Remove the two screws from the bottom plate as shown.

Pull the tab up and pull the bulb out vertically. Some force will be required, but it will come out.

Using a can of compressed air, blow on the fan until all dust is gone.

Oil can be added in with a dropper on the bearing if needed.
