Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the two 15.0 mm screws attaching the lid to the hinge of the bin.

Remove the lid.

Carefully unhook the black metal hook from the attached lid supporters at the back by shifting the supporters to the left.

Carefully secure and connect the step pedal, metal rod with the hook metal rod at the bottom of the trash bin.

Push back the upper hook on the lid supporters.

Then place the lid back on top of the lid supporter.
