Was du brauchst
-
-
It will be easier to put it back if releasing by the other side of the flex cable which is under the metallic cover of usb charging board, fingerprint reader and battery connector and fixed with two screws (metallic plate above the black flex cable)
-
-
-
Entferne die 8 oberen Schrauben, die die Metallabdeckungen halten.
-
The motherboard is also fixed to the frame with clips. Pull it by the right side. It also hase thermal paste which could act as a sticking solution. I cleaned the one which remains on the motherboard and added another new which is being used on computers
-
-
-
-
Don’t forget to remove the button flex if it’s not on the new frame
Attention: The flex with the buttons is well sticked to the frame. Take care how you are removing it. Use a thin tool and try to release the stick with a caution to don’t damage the flex. Pull slowly the flex.
If you breake it, you won’t be able to turn on the phone
-
-
-
Trenne das Akkukabel vom Mainboard.
-
If you wont put a new battery, take care how you unstick the original / old one. It’s too well glued. Heat it well by the screen side using the iOpener or simial gel back pre-heated in the MWO. Use some plastic flat too to breake the glue. The battery will get deformed. I straghted it back and it seems to keep working.
My new frame came with this glue new and covered with a plastic. I didn’t removed that plastic in case the battery is damaged while taking out and it has to be replaced.
-
-
-
Remove also the earpiece and the proximity sensor (you need to remove the old screen for that)
-
-
-

Can the antenna cable (black thin one) be reused?
hi, when you replace a faulty battery does the screen needs to be changed as well even though the screen is fine?
Normally if you can remove the battery, without damaging the screen then just replacing the battery should be ok

I had to replace the back cover as well as it was also damaged. You will have to try it and see if the adhesive is still strong enough to stick.

Can the back cover be reused with the adhesive that's on it if heated?
Hard to say, you would have to see if it is still strong enough.

Can I still get the old battery which is functioning well
Normally if the battery can be removed withou damage then it can be reused.

Hi.. I changed my huawei p20 lite screen with a replica and now the finger print option disappeared ?????
Hi, it could be that the cable is not properly seated or was damaged. Is it possible to try another fingerprint cable/pad?

Hi all,
I broken back cover glass of my P20 lite. I was thinking to repair it by my self but I saw some video tutorial in which there’s need of Heat Gun. In this guide only suction cup is used. Could you please help me to understand if the Heat Gun is really necessary or not?
Thank you
The guide is incomplete as some important steps aren’t well explained or they weren’t even explained. In general, the guide is good
Thanks to the autor
Hi, if you have accidently jumped into a swimming pool with your Huawei P20 Lite; and the phone is still working, however you cannot enter anything using the display; i.e. when asking you to slide to unlock; the screen does nothing; and now the screen seems to have reduced the brightness down to nothing; is there anyway of fixing this?
I believe that other than this issue; the phone was still working; calls had been received (although now I have removed the sim and memory card). All data appears to be still there too
Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated; phone went in water Weds morning (24th July)
One thing you can try is opening the phone and checking the mainboard and display connectors - it is possible that water got inside and has corroded it either on the display cable or on the mainboard side. I would recommend cleaning (or soaking) the mainboard and display connector with Iso-propynol to remove other possible corrosion or debris, put it back together and see if the touch function works. If the corrosion is on the mainboard then it may be the damage is already too extensive. If it’s on the display side, then you may get lucky by changing the display.
Hope that helps….
Non-comprehensible guide. “Remove the dual camera and the selfie camera” - no pictures how to do it.
No actual image how to get the access to the display and replace it.
If you can't figure out how to remove the cameras then you shouldn't be attempting this repair.
The guide is not how to replace the display only, it is with the frame and battery together as one complete unit. Sorry if you find it non comprehensible and I welcome you to create your own.

thats not fair. this guide is not about replacing the display - its about replacing the whole unit where the display sits in. plus, the camera is sooo easy to remove. just unplug it and take it out. you have access to it when you take out the motherboard
How do i fix my sim reader
thank your for this perfect guide, display-replacement was easy with it.
one thing: what about the thermal paste? obviously there was some on the motherboard-cover. i replaced it, too. isn’t it mandatory and should be added to the guide?
From recollection, I believe the new display unit had some thermal paste already on it, with a plastic film to be removed before installation….but this is only a best recollection.
