The Lenovo ThinkBook 15 G2 ITL is prone to battery degradation which makes the laptop have difficulty holding a charge. It is always important when fixing devices such as a laptop to disconnect the battery from the motherboard to ensure safety.

Remove ten 5mm screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Pry up the latches using an opening pick.

Remove the lower case to show the internal components of the computer.

Disconnect the battery pack cable from the system board.

Remove the four 5mm screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Gently pry and remove the battery pack.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
