This guide gives instructions on how to open the Olympus Stylus Tough-8010 side panel and replace the camera's battery.

Open the side panel that allows access to the battery by turning the circular lock mechanism counterclockwise.

Slide the locking mechanism up. You should see red when the camera is unlocked.

Open the side panel and check for any obstructions in the battery slot.

Insert the battery in the correct orientation in the battery slot.
