Einleitung

If you’ve cracked the screen or are experiencing issues with the screen of your Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 digital camera, it may be time for a replacement. To complete this replacement, you will need to know how to solder. You will also need a few tools, so be sure to check the Tools List below before starting this replacement. This guide will help you properly replace the LCD (liquid crystal display) screen for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 digital camera.

  1. Slide the lock into the unlocked position to the right.

    • Use your finger to slide battery hatch towards the arrow sign.

    • Pull the battery out and replace with a new one.

    • When putting the battery back in, make sure it is in the same orientation as before.

  3. Remove the two 2.8 mm Phillips screws as shown in picture.

  4. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the three 2.8 mm Phillips screws on the bottom of the camera as shown in picture.

  5. Remove the two 2.8 mm Phillips screws on the side of the camera as shown in picture.

  6. Use a spudger to  pry open the case from all sides. Use a spudger to  pry open the case from all sides.

  7. Beware of the ribbon cable that is still attached when opening. Use your fingers to  carefully pry off the back casing from the camera assembly.

  8. Lay the camera on its front side. Use the spudger to open the film strip locking mechanism and remove strip.

    • Hold down on the camera's metal casing with one hand. Use your other hand to completely lift the back case off the rest of the camera, making sure the film strip separates.

  9. Use a spudger to lift the screen ZIF connector tab. Use the back of the spudger to push the ribbon cable free.

  10. Use the screwdriver to remove the four 2.4mm Phillips screws as shown in picture, circled in red. Lift up the LCD screen from the front case. Potential for device damage: The wire is still connected to the board in the other side.

  11. Remove the LCD screen from its case.
    • Remove the LCD screen from its case.

  12. Locate the wire connecting the LCD screen to the motherboard.
    • Locate the wire connecting the LCD screen to the motherboard.

    • Use the soldering iron to desolder the wire.

    • Use the soldering iron to solder wires from new LCD screen to the circuit board.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
