Recommend wearing plastic/rubber/latex gloves for this, or whatever you feel comfortable using. When working with electrical components always be aware that you can get a shock even if the device is off and potentially short components, so take care when touching internal components of any device and if possible, run the battery flat before taking the device apart to minimise risk.

Start by removing the SIM card tray on the top with a removal tool or a straightened paperclip.

Using a thin spudger/prying tool, going from the edge of the screen around the whole phone until the plastic back comes loose.

You can then use a thicker plastic pry bar to separate the back of the case, taking care not to damage it.

Remove the black tape below the rear facing camera

Remove the 3 small screws holding the contact cover in place, then remove the contact cover to access the connectors.

RECOMMENDED: Take photos of all the connectors before unplugging them so that you have a reference point to reassemble the device

Starting left to right, carefully unplug the connectors with a plastic spudger and take care not to damage the connections to the logic board.

Connect the new screen panel with the same connectors you just separated from the old screen panel

Make sure you remove all metal tools and conductive debris from inside the open device and, of course, your fingers!

If you have connected everything correctly then you should be able to CAREFULLY power on the device

Assuming this is now correctly attached you can begin closing up the device

Using adhesive tape and/or a small amount of electrical adhesive on the back of the screen panel, you can close up the phone

Take extra care not to break the plastic bezel around the screen

When the screen is in place you should be able to press this closed with your hands until you hear the screen snap into place against the rest of the case

Hopefully this is now complete and you should have successfully replaced the screen panel and the attached plastic bezel.
