This repair guide shows how to remove and replace the logic board.

  5. Be sure that all 5 screws are removed and start to carefully remove the back cover by using the iPod Opening Tool in the slots on the bottom of the device. Note: some force must be applied when removing back cover. Note: some force must be applied when removing back cover.

  6. Detach the tab from the logic board by using iPod Opening Tool (as shown).

  7. Use iPod Opening Tool to lift the green logic board carefully. Remove logic board from the device and replace with new one.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
