Use two fingers to pull the ridged lock tabs on the bottom of the computer toward the edges. This will unlock the battery.

  • Remove the ten 7mm Phillips screws located on the bottom of the laptop using the J1S screwdriver.

  • Remove the 7mm Phillips screw located on the easy access panel on the bottom of the laptop using a J1S screwdriver.

  • Insert a plastic opening tool and follow the edges to open the panel.

  • Remove the three 3.5mm Phillips screws indicated in the picture.

  • Remove the 3mm Phillips screw holding the HDD in place, then slide the HDD towards the sticker.

  • Pull the HDD out.

  • Insert a plastic opening tool in between the panel and the main assembly.

  • Work your way around the laptop to remove the base plate.

  • Remove the single 1.5mm screw located next to the cooling fan.

  • Gently pull out the two pin connector.
