Xbox One Wireless Controller (Model 1914) Joystick Caps Replacement

Einleitung

This replacement guide is based on the Xbox Series S Model 1914 controller. There are certain situations where the joystick caps on the controller could become very sticky and/or become hard to move. That’s why it is important to change them or clean them every once in a while. That is what I’ll be explaining in the guide.

Open the back of controller by sliding the battery cover upwards.
Remove the batteries from the controller.

Schritt 2

Use an opening tool to pry both side plates open.

Schritt 3

Punch a hole in the center of the sticker to find hidden screw. Then remove the screws with the Torx TR9 screwdriver.
All the the screws are the same length so they are all interchangeable for each of the five spots when screwing them out.
