[* icon_note] If this is your first time applying thermal paste I recommend using a good thermal paste like Arctic Silver and reading a guide here on iFixit.
[* icon_caution] With the motherboard out, turn it upside down inon a safety plane surfacestatic free surface.
[* redblack] To remove the heatsink and replace thermal paste remove thesethe screws in the correct order(markedorder (marked with a number on the heatsink)heatsink).
[* icon_caution] Clean old thermal paste and ensurewith isopropyl-alcohol. Ensure that the new oneafter applying thermal paste had been distributed correctly, and now put screws init doesn't leak onto the correct order thatmotherboard (if it's marked from 1on the green square, it's fine).
[* icon_caution] When putting the heat sink back on, try to 7 always doinghave the same torquescrew holes align on your first try. This is to maintain better heat dissipationan even spread of the thermal paste.
