Upgrading antenna to dual?

Hi techs,

I love the dual antenna and screen offered by Kindle HD but can't stand the heavily constricted modified Android.

Nexus 7, on the other hand, offers great Android experience but does not have dual antenna and screen as those offered by its counterpart.

My questions are:

Is it possible to "upgrade" the antenna of Nexus7?

Does the Android ask for driver when you install a foreign piece of hardware (something the Windows does and even seeks out driver for you)
