How to have no static electricity while converting my iPhone 4s

I have a Iphone 4s and im am planning on converting it to mirror blue when my conversion kit comes in, I already have a iphone 4s screw mat, But i have read alot of topics about people frying their circuit boards because of static electricity, and i was wondering if their was anyways to have no static electricity?

I suggest going to radio shack and purchasing an anti-static wrist strap. You simply put it on your wrist, and plug the attached lead into the ground plug of a wall socket.

I further may suggest an anti static mat to place the phone on, but that might be overkill.
