Old G4 desktop fan Replace

PowerMac G4 Model M5183 (circa 2000), loud buzz from fan at tower back. How to replace fan, what tools? Please help. Thanks, Jack.

I already answered this question. Did you pull the ring on the side and open the side panel and look at it?

The G4 Power Macs have a latch just above the Apple logo on the right hand panel. Lift that latch and the panel will open.

Einstellungen

Don't go in that way. Open the door and remove the 4 large Phillips screws and the one small one. This will give you access to the fan. Your machine is the 350 GHz Yikes model.
