iPhone contact list missing and phone will loop unless you charge it

For the past month, my 3Gs has been looping between the main screen and reloading. When it does this, I will plug it in and it stops. However, it wipes my contact list clean. One of the most recent times... It would not allow me to hook up to the USB to restore the contacts. Also when I go to charge my phone in the wall, I have to shut my phone off in order for it to recognize the charge. When it recognizes it, the phone will turn on. PLEASE HELP! I need a solution for a quick fix to last me two more months before I can get a new one. Thank you.

Cath, there is really no quick fix:-) but I suggest that you replace the battery. The signs and symptoms you describe would fit a bad battery. Follow this guide and replace the battery with one like this. Hope this helps, good luck.

There are three kinds of recovery mode: to recover data directly from the iOS device and to retrieve previous data by extracting it from iTunes and iCloud backup!

I think use the iPubsoft iPhone Backup Extractor to recover lost contacts from iPhone backup is the best way for you to get back them.

For this situation, you can recover missing contacts list from iPhone by following 2 ways.

1. Restore the deleted contacts from iCloud.

2. Extract contacts from the latest iTunes backup file.

Both Methods requires that you have done backups before. Because of your iPhone hardware problem, I suggest you should complete the recovery by third-party tool iPhone Data Recovery, which can help you selectively extract data from backup and save them on computer.
