a friend of mine have 2 MacBooks
1. MacBook Pro unibody 15" late 2008
2. MacBook Pro unibody 15" mid 2009
the first one is broken (apple juice) but the screen works.
at the second one only the screen is broken everything works fine (he using it with an external monitor)
now my question: will the screen from the late 2008 fit to the mid 2009?
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Ok looking at the ifixit parts guide the 08 screen is part number 661-4837 and is good for late 08 and early 09. The part number for the mid 09 is 661-5215 and is for mid 09. Based on what I find I would say the two will not interchange. Ralph

The camera cable on the mid 2009 version is about 1/2" longer than that of the late 2008. This makes it difficult to use a late 2008 display on a mid 2009 machine.
Having that said, it's possible that you might be able to make it reach, but it'll be a stretch. I believe the connectors are identical though.
