1 stuck in Recovery mode problem (TinyUmbrella)
Hi guys, I need your help. I know these recovery mode questions have been asked many times b4. Last wk I Brought a 3gs that would not turn on, thought i'd just be doing a battery change over but when I received it , I found that in would in fact turn on & was stuck in R-Mode, downloaded Tiny umbrella ect, kicked it out of R-mode. Phone was functional for about 40 mins & then went to the apple logo & that was the end......... Didn't get a chance to update b4 this so I put it back into recovery mode & restored it to factory settings & update to the latest io6. still nothing just goes back to the same. can get just the apple logo, the battery screen or the recovery mode screen, now i've been messing about with it, it will only display in iTunes when in recovery. is visible on my computer. I've tried, but never successfully gotten the device into DFU. Even with ifaith instructing me. Please, does any one has any suggestions that I could try. I'm a newby & also not very technical. I've only just gotten MY FIRST APPLE a few months ago.

OK, so I just about gave up on this one, I needed to do my first battery change. So before I pulled apart a good phone I tried a practice run on this one (as I'm not very confident) & well what do you know, afterwards I was able to update & restore, Phone was good as new!!!! I'm thinking that, although it was working before, the old battery just did not have enough power to go through the restore/update process & the error that was coming up didn't help, It was sending me down the wrong road to find the solution . So if anyone has this same recovery problem & nothing else works, it might be worth looking into your battery even if it was working fine before your update or restore..... I'm sure lots of people already know this, but I had to work it out for my self & only discovered it by accident, I hope I save someone some time or money!!!!!! I really do think a lot of these recovery mode problems have a lot to do with the battery having inadequate power.
