iMac video card upgrade
um..does anyone knows the power comsution of the 2400 XT? planing to swapout for a 3870 which is about 55w.

If the card you mention was never an Apple OEM card used on that get machine it wont work - there will be no drivers for it. If it was an OEM card there should be no problem.

wait, if i just want to use windows 7 on the imac with 3870, will it work? i don't think the 3870 (MXM II) is apple specific...
No it wont for the reason I stated. The card must comply with Apples EFI you can't just drop a card in and run windows (you're running it in emulation)... if that's your intent (run windows & windows hardware) you want to purchase a PC.
