My iPod wont play out loud. Any ideas?
it will play thru earphones and speakers but not on its own.

Jo Boyle, it is possible that you have a stuck audio jack, it may believe that the head phones are still plugged in, even if they are not. Try to clean the jack with a few drops of isopropyl alcohol and either a vacuum cleaner or a some puffs of compressed air. If that does not work, you may have to replace it.

thanks, have already tried jacking/unjacking earphones several times & blowing into jack. Its still under warranty so think it will have 2 go back.

Did you open it up? Sometimes if you are not careful you can damage the speaker.
