How to remove the Water Pump with the Engine in the car

The Water Pump collapsed on my 1993 1.9 Peugeot 205 GTi.

The Haynes Manual is very vague about removing this item with the engine in-situ.

The space between the engine and the frame is very tight - is the removal of the Water Pump 'do-able' with the engine still in the car,,,,???

I am a pretty good DIY mechanic and have experience in most things mechanical.

However, every little bit of input from others helps,,,,!!!
