Can I use a Version 1 LeapPad Screen on LeapPad 2?

Does anyone know whether the LCD from the LeapPad Explorer 1 is identical with the ones in the LeapPad -2? Or if not identical, at least compatible?

Also (and this is really a separate question I guess), is the touchscreen replaceable as a separate item from the display screen?
