Screen is inactive, but the phone seems to be on.

I looked through the guides and could not find one for the ALCATEL one touch. My father just bought the phone and days later it stopped working. The battery has a label that warns that tampering will void the warranty and I wanted to check out the manual before I touched it. So the problem is that the phone appears to be on but the screen won't activate. Any info would be great.

Hi John, can you give us some more information on your dad's phone? There are quite a few Alcatel One Touch phones, it looks like the One Touch Evolve and One Touch Fierce have come out recently, is it one of those?

You know they don't seem to distinguish the difference anywhere on the phone. . . Anyways, it is a fierce.
