I was trying to make everything new on my iPad mini and after I switched the housing the speakers stopped working I have tried taking them out and putting them back in to no success. I don't understand how they work but everything is put in correctly anybody have any ideas??? Maybe try a factory reset?

The speakers have to sandwich the charging port, it took me a minute to figure out how this worked too. There is a positive and negative terminal on each side of the charging port (front and back of charging port). Four terminals total (one on front left, one on front right, one on back left, and one on back right). If you have it like this now, you may have shorted the speaker circuit. See photos:
Photo 1 is charging port, Photo 2 is charging port "close up" terminal (one side), Photo 3 is speaker terminals, and Photo 4 is the speaker terminals sandwiched properly between the charging terminals. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much, I had a problem with sound after changing the case, and couldn't for the life of me figure it out, but this was exactly the problem! Cheers!
Hello, the "rings" on the sides of dock konector must be inserted between the "rings" speakers. You must join the contact with speakers (gold places). Sorry for my english . .

Alright I will take a look its possible I put the small o-rings in-between the contacts. I will give it a shot!
I gave it a shot and switch the way the connectors connected to the speakers and that still didn't work. Do you know if the little plastic washers do anything specifically or where else the speakers should be connecting?
Can you give out the order in which it is placed correctly?
