How I can change the display in a Huawei Ascend P6?

Hello,

First of all i would like to start by telling that the Huawei p6 is almost impossible to fix without the proper tools ( very expensive ).

Because i repair Huawei for a living i will explain the steps how i do it at work !

1. You peel the rounded bottom decoration off, You do this by inserting a plectrum just below the speaker. Then you kind of play with it untill you can peel it right off ! (!!!!! you need to replace this part because most of the times it won`t fit after you assemble the parts )

2. This is the hard part withouth the ( expensive ) tools. So now your left with a p6 with the metal battery cover still attached. You remove this part by gliding it down untill you can lift it off. !! Be carefull because underneath this cover there are little hooks that attach when you assemble it.

3. Now you`ll see the battery on the right side and the mainboard on the left.

4. You`ll need a cross screwdriver to get al the screws out of there. ( at the right side just above the top corners of the battery there are two screws, don`t forget them )

5. When you`ve gotten all the screws out ofthe phone, you eject the simtrays.

6. Now you can safely remove the mainboard.

7. For the battery you want to be really careful as i assume you don`t have the tools to remove it.

You gently try to get underneath it with a blunt object and gently remove it .

8. Now you just put everything in place the way you removed it. Except you put it in the other screen ahha :D.

9. Succes !!

The hardest part is removing the metallic battery cover, once you removed that part everything shows itself really. Although a quick guide is always welcome !

Sorry for my late reply, you can't split the lcd and touchscreen. And for the water damage, the phone won't be repaired. They'll bill you €30 or so and won't repair the phone. I would buy a new one since there relatively cheap.

How open back battery cower

Would someone be able to advise me on how I should change the front top cover of the Huawei p6 please?

hi i have a huawei pay as u go phone and my screen is very damaged and want to know if i can have the screen replaced or how i can fix this with out buying a new phone?

1. Take away the back cover

2. Take out ALL the screws, notice that there is a black point in the right down corner (this is a secured screw to not void the warranty)

3. Take a spudger between the front glass en the aluminium back cover and peel it loose, you will hear a certain amount of clicks, just go round the phone. It will require some patience and a not to strong hand but it'll work.

4. undo all the flex cables from the motherboard, take out the motherboard

5. go under the battery to get this one out

6. ATTENTION: The flex cable on the top of the phone is glued to the proximity sensor, peel this one of FIRST before heating up the front. Otherwise you WILL forget this and maybe rip the cable. Then heaten up the front glass and pry under it until you can go under the lcd, just peel it off.. It's broken anyway so just use some force.

7. put the new one in

8. reverse steps to put it back together!

Bout 30 min work if you know how to do it.
