Broken button cable assembly socket?
While putting my Iphone 5s back together I miss aligned the button cable connecter and bent/broke off half of the connecter.
( dont have picture of phone in question) I was quoted $125 to resolder the socket, I was wondering if it would be possible to resolder it myself for less? Alternatively, if I could not, is there somewhere that will do the repair for less?
Thanks for the help,
John H. Laney
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
It depends on which specific connector? Show a picture of the damage and I can send you a quote.

As I said I don't have a picture and I don't have access to the phone. Do you do the repairs on your own or as part of a company?

If you are not able to take a picture, then I won't be able to help you. Your question is too vague "button cable connector" is not an iPhone part. I own a repair company.

The picture I posted is of the cable I'm referring to. Can you see the picture?

The picture above shows the power flex being removed by a plastic spudger. If you are referring to the power flex fpc socket connector underneath---assuming no other damage to the tiny components in the area, then that is something I could fix for you for less than $125....but honestly I'll pass. I'm not sure we'd be a good fit.
If you give it a shot yourself, you'd need a good stereomicroscope capable of magnification to 45x, a 0.2 mm soldering iron tip, some low melt desoldering alloy, plenty of flux and a ton of patience.
Sometimes the bent pins of the actual connector can be massaged back into place--depending on the damage. Site unseen it is hard to advise.
