ipad 2 screen replacement
after successfully fixing my iphone,
people must consider me a qualified apple technician willing to work for peanuts because now a family member is trying to get me to fix thier ipad 2 for them... in order to save money, i wish i was happy to do it but truth is life is too !@#$ short.
anyway its a
MC9828/A IPAD 2 WI-FI 3G 16GB WHITE
model a1396
is replacing the screen an easy task? ofcourse i watched a few videos but they always get the job done fast
im about to order the parts i need,
the owner tells me i just need a
LCD TOUCH SCREEN LENS DIGITIZER
i hope thats the case because i dont want to findout i need to order more parts after i dissasembled it.
the ipads been dropped a small distance and appears to be cracked
my question is
how do i know if the expensive LCD DISPLAY underneath the frontscreen is damaged or not??? do i only find out after i took it all apart? because if that needs replacing aswell then it suddenly becomes an expensive job and may aswell let the proffesionals do it.
Update
yeah the ipad still works fine, the damage doesnt stop me from using it
ive no idea if thiers any damage below what i can see on the surface crackwise

im still uncertain what replacement parts i need to buy
i think i need this - but it doesnt have a digitizer cable by the looks of it?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Replacemen...
then i compare it to this one for example which does have a digitizer cable attached
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WHITE-REPLACEM...
they pratically the same part so i dont get it unless the digitizer cable is totaly removable from the screen unlike mobile phone lcd digitiers then i suppose it makes sence
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
