I just discovered that the "ringer" on a 4s I am repairing is not working on incoming calls. Other sounds are working-- as far as I can tell everything is working, except that I get vibration only and no ring on incoming calls. Volume is turned up all the way.

My suggestion for troubleshooting it is to eliminate the possibility the issue is being caused by a software glitch. I recommend doing a factory reset on your device and seeing if the issue is fixed.

Jorge, you were right-- resetting occurred to me in the meantime, but not first thing because I had just updated and restored. Seems OK now. Interesting thing-- when I first re-activated, it showed me on AT&T although I was using a Straight Talk sim. I then did a complete reset and it brought me back to Straight Talk. I am finding that my Straight Talk sim works with every AT&T phone I try it with.
